    I came here for vacation and stayed. long story...I'm a dancer.

    I stayed and did not have documents for a long time, now I'm a citizen.

    American is a very misused word, I was borne in Colombia and I was American even before I came here.

    So during the whole process of becoming an "American" I reborn.

  • Third Generation

    My grandfather was born in Poland. He immigrated to the US as a young man. He never learned to speak English. He had 14 children, two of whom died in the military during World War II. He built cars in Detroit and was a member of the United Auto Workers.

    Any hostility to immigrants seems very un-American to me. I define American as welcoming and inclusive.
