Allan Freedman - Define American

Allan Freedman

My mother’s side of the family arrive as European immigrants around 1850. My father’s family arrived in the US in 1900 (refuges from Eastern European persecution of the Jews). Why are today’s immigrants any different? In my book anyone who is both intelligent and motivated to leave their home to come to America is a bonus to our society. Some folks talk about the “puritan work ethic.” Those same values are alive and well in today’s immigrant population. So they didn’t have a passport. They still are a valued addition to help keep America, and our core values, strong. God Bless America

Let's Talk

It's time for a new conversation about immigration in America, and it starts with us.
