Susannah Crockford - Define American

Susannah Crockford

Grand Canyon Village, AZ

Because of current American immigration law, my partner and father of my child is unable to sponsor a permanent residency visa for me to join him in the US. My son and I remain in the UK separated from him. Given the current changes in immigration law, I am afraid that we will no longer be allowed to enter even on the valid non-immigrant visa I currently have. I am not allowed, by law, to become an American and reunite our family. How do I define American? I don’t. I can’t. The law defines who is an American and who isn’t. The law has excluded us.

Let's Talk

It's time for a new conversation about immigration in America, and it starts with us.
